Hello, I am new to FoodNet Ontario. I am a student at Brescia University College studying Foods and Nutritional Sciences, and a candidate to achieving my BSc and in a couple years time, a MBSc. Today, I attended the FNO workshop held at Brescia and I found it very refreshing. I could go on writing an essay about my experience, but I will keep it short and sweet! I really listened to what speakers, such as Gord Hume and Heather Thomas, et. al had to say, and it really made me think; How can we teach our community to make healthier choices?, and how can we increase food security? These were some of the many thoughts I had running through my head while taking in the lectures of multiple speakers. These topics very much intrigue me, and I would like to be part of the solution. Thank you, FNO for accepting me as member to your network and I hope to be more involved in the near future.
